Bacoo Rum Café
750ML | 40% Alc by Vol
An attractive coffee rum with a nice combination of flavor, restraint, and tingle.
Dull reddish mahogany color. Attractive aromas of circus peanuts, caramel macchiato, banana sundae with chocolate fudge, nuts and cherries, and banana peel with a satiny, bright, off-dry medium body and a tingling, interesting, medium long spumoni gelato, coconut latte, and pepper dust finish.
In a word: Yum!
What an awesome combination of delicious rum and coffee. My first go at it was neat in a Bacoo tumbler sitting outside by the Solo Stove. Excellent experience! I was taken aback by how smooth it was. Luckily it’s now officially eggnog season, so my next go was a wee dram of Bacoo Cafe in some Howling Cow eggnog. They were made to go together. If you can’t tell, I’m thoroughly enjoying my Bacoo Cafe purchase. I purchased a second bottle for my son-in-law for his birthday. He’ll be thanking me.
Wasn't sure what to expect!
I bit the shipping bullet because there was no place locally to buy Bacoo. (I understand they are working on it!) After trying it myself, I took it to a get-away week trip with friends and family in another state. We all thought the same thing; that the COFFEE part was mostly in the nose and NOT in the taste. You can definitely get the aroma when bringing the glass up to sip, but then the taste isn’t quite there. Not sure why this is the case, but it is. Myself and my two friends who tried it all agreed. Still, with that said, this Coffee Bacoo is s great little sipping rum which we all enjoyed. It is very smooth on the palate. After some time passes I may try it again to see if this first impression changes at all. (And only AFTER it makes it into the local B&M store!)
Great and very tasty smooth
